Shrimp Recipe

This recipe is for 1 lb of shrimp, but can go up depending on how many lbs you make. For every lb of shrimp, use 2 sticks of butter (i.e., 2 lbs of shrimp = 4 sticks). Also this is what leaves the "juice" when you finish the shrimp, so the more "juice" you want, the more sticks of butter you should add.

Ingredients

  • Tony Chachere Original Creole Mix
  • 16 Tbsp of butter (2 sticks)
  • 1 lb of shrimp

Prep

Rinse the shrimp in a strainer with cold water, allow the shrimp to sit so excess water can drain.

Instructions

Step 1

Add the shrimp and 1 stick of butter to a pot with a cover on it.

Step 2

Slowly cook the shrimp on low heat.

Step 3

Begin to add the other stick(s) of butter as the heat increases.

Step 4

Once the shrimp begins to turn pink, add the creole mix (amount depends on how much you can handle, would taste as you add).

Step 5

After adding seasoning, make sure to mix in fully then that's it.
